Author Moshtaq Ahmed was born on December 30, 1975, in Faridpur district. Despite being a professional employee, he has a great interest in writing. So far, he has written the most about science fiction. He has established a solid position in the world of Bengali science fiction. Additionally, Moshdaq Ahmed's books are divided into genres such as horror, parapsychology, the liberation war, adolescent classics, travel, etc. He prefers to write on various topics rather than being confined to just one. The total number of his works has exceeded fifty. His first published book was 'Jockey.' It is a realistic novel that was published in 2005. Moshdaq Ahmed studied at the University of Dhaka, initially in the Pharmacy department and later at the IBA. Subsequently, he obtained a master's degree in criminology from the University of Leicester in England. Whether for the sake of education or career, he has traveled extensively in his personal life. Thus, his travel writings have gradually enriched with these travel tales. His creative activities are not limited to writing alone. On March 25, 1971, a battle occurred between the police of Rajarbagh and the Pakistani invading forces. Based on this event, Moshdaq Ahmed created a documentary titled 'The First Resistance of the Liberation War.' It was released in March 2013. In his collection of awards, he has received the Kali and Kolom Literary Award in 2013, the Children's Mela Literary Award in 2014, the Krishnokoli Literary Award in 2014, the City Ananda Alo Award in 2015, and most recently, the Bangla Academy Literary Award-2017 for his special contributions to the field of science fiction.
