Dr. Norman Vincent Peale was an American thinker, writer, and clergyman who guided lost people throughout his life with his writings. His self-help books offer lessons in inspiration and motivation. Norman Vincent Peale was born on May 31, 1898, in Bowersville, Ohio, USA. His father was a local clergyman. He obtained a graduate degree in theology from Boston University and joined the Methodist Church at Syracuse University in New York. In 1933, when he moved to the 300-year-old Marble Collegiate Church in the same city, he converted from Methodist to Dutch Reformed. Peale, along with Smiley Blanton, began writing a religious self-improvement book. Under the guidance of this duo, the "American Foundation of Religion and Psychiatry" was established in America. Dr. Norman Peale used radio, television programs, and books to guide lost individuals in their overall development, self-improvement, and motivation. In 1935, Peale launched a radio program called "The Art of Living." Additionally, his founded magazine "Guideposts" emphasized the importance of positive thinking for self-improvement and motivation. Living a very simple life, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale's books reflect his profound research and contemplation on human welfare and positive thinking. Throughout his lengthy 95-year life, he illuminated the significance of independent thought for self-improvement to misguided people.
