How quickly I've grown up...
It feels like only a few days ago I was a ten-year-old boy with curly hair, wearing half-pants. He would sit under the schoolyard's karai tree, gazing wistfully at the river, as waves crashed at his feet, traveling from afar in groups. Sometimes he would try in vain to count the waves, but he would lose track shortly after. Again, he would gaze wistfully at the river, or sometimes at the sky. In the midday rain-soaked sun, a golden-winged kite would occasionally fly around, calling out in a plaintive tone from time to time. The boy would become even more wistful. Sometimes, on his way home from school, the boy would be surprised to see the sky darken with rain. The boy didn't have an umbrella. So, to save his books and notebooks from the heavy rain, he would sprint, holding his sandals in one hand and his books in the other. Sometimes he would slip and fall in the muddy road, returning home like a mud-covered ghost. His mother would try in vain to wipe his head with her আঁচল (the edge of a sari). Freeing himself from his mother's hand, the boy would run and jump into the pond. Raindrops would make strange sounds in the clear water of the pond. The boy would listen to that sound in amazement. After a long time splashing in the pond, he would return with red eyes, and his mother would wipe his head with her আঁচল. Like a quiet child, he would devour the hot, steaming rice with fried puti fish, then curl up under a quilt with a storybook. Meanwhile, rain would fall continuously on the tin roof.

Outside, the drumstick tree seemed to want to fly away with the wind. The banana leaves would be battered by the wind. The boy would be immersed in his storybook. Huckleberry Finn is escaping from his wicked father, taking the boat... Will he be able to escape safely? Will his father catch him? Intense excitement! At some point, the boy would fall asleep, and in his sleep, he would be frightened by the sound of lightning. His mother would sometimes come and lie down beside him. In his sleep, he would hug his mother's neck - the person he loved most in this world...

From the flap: How much longer will you wander aimlessly down the wrong path like a lost soul?
How much longer? Instead, come to the open window. A gust of cool air will come and gently caress
Kosa's serene face. Look outside, everything is awash in bright sunshine, a bulbul is singing sweetly behind the leaves of the guava tree in the corner of the courtyard, a golden-winged kite has spread its wings in the distant blue sky;
Beckoning you,
as if you should set out
in search of the free air...
