Salahuddin Jahangir Salahuddin Jahangir’s father, Mohammad Shawkat Hossain, was a member of the army. In his childhood, the sounds of marching drills, salutes, and the melancholic notes of the bugle played in the afternoons ignited in him a hidden desire to become a soldier. However, his mother, Jahanara Begum, wished for him to become a Hafiz (one who memorizes the Quran), and so, setting aside his dreams of rifles and uniforms, he was admitted to a Hifzkhana (Quran memorization school). The Hifzkhana where he enrolled was named Basna Amanullah Forkania Hafezia Madrasa, located in the west of Dhaka district, under Dhamrai Thana. It was here that a new door to his dreams opened. There was a large bookshelf in the Hifzkhana filled with books of various genres, available for students to read, which became his first source of inspiration for writing and the development of his intellectual curiosity. He completed his primary madrasa education from Jamia Islamia Hafizul Ulum Islampur in Dhamrai. In 2002, he moved to Dhaka and pursued his secondary education at Madrasa Darul Ulum in Mirpur. He passed his Alim (equivalent to higher secondary) in 2007 from Sharifbag Islamia Kamil Madrasa in Dhamrai and in 2008, he completed his Dawra-e-Hadith (post-graduate degree in Islamic studies) from Jameya Qurania Arabia Lalbagh. Following that, he earned an honors degree in English from Darul Ihsan University and worked for some time in journalism and editing. Currently, he is fully engaged in writing. His primary interest lies in history. He is deeply intrigued by divine knowledge, human sciences, folklore, supernatural beliefs, international religious philosophies, and theology. This interest is reflected in his books. Due to his personal inclinations, he writes mostly in a blend of history and religious philosophy, constructing a unique narrative that extends beyond traditional religious contexts.
